Ingredients
White Chocolate Rose Truffles
- White chocolate chips
- Sweetened condensed milk
- Salt
- Vanilla
- Rose water
- Toppings: I used chopped pistachio, freeze-dried strawberries and rose petals. You can use other nuts, sprinkles or just drizzle with more white chocolate once the outer shell is set.
A little note about rose petals though–chewing on rose petals is not cool. I like using them to show what is inside and they look pretty, but if you want to use them, just put one petal so you can get the effect but the petal can easily be popped off.
How to make white chocolate rose truffles
Add the white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, salt, vanilla and rose water to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30 second increments until smooth, stirring between each interval.
Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator 1 1/2 hours, until firm and it can be rolled into a ball.
Scoop out about 1 tablespoon at a time and roll into a ball. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet. You can also use wax paper.
Chill these while you melt the remaining chocolate. Repeat the same process as before (microwaving for 30 second intervals) then dip each ball into melted white chocolate. Use two forks to turn the ball and coat all sides. Lift the ball out of the chocolate and gently shake to let excess chocolate drip back into the bowl. Place the truffle back onto parchment and sprinkle with desired toppings immediately.
Continue the process with remaining balls and chill for 15 minutes to set before serving.
