-2 black tea bags-1 cup water, plus more for cooking boba-1 vanilla bean pod,-1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract-2 tbsp brown sugar-1/2 cup whole milk-1/2 cup tapioca pearls
Boil 1 cup water and add to a liquid measuring cup. Cut the vanilla bean in half and add it to the boiling water with the tea bags. Steep for 5 mins. Add brown sugar and vanilla extract and stir until dissolved. Add milk and stir. Chill this while you make the boba.
