VANILLA MILK TEA (VANILLA BUBBLE TEA)

-2 black tea bags -1 cup water, plus more for cooking boba -1 vanilla bean pod, -1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract -2 tbsp brown sugar -1/2 cup whole milk -1/2 cup tapioca pearls

Boil 1 cup water and add to a liquid measuring cup. Cut the vanilla bean in half and add it to the boiling water with the tea bags. Steep for 5 mins. Add brown sugar and vanilla extract and stir until dissolved. Add milk and stir. Chill this while you make the boba.  

Place boba pearls in a small pot and cover with 2 inches of water. Bring to a boil and cook until all the boba float to the top. 

Strain boba to remove water and divide evenly between two glasses. Add ice to each glass, then divide the tea mixture between the two glasses.
