STRAWBERRY BUBBLE TEA RECIPE (EASY BOBA MILK TEA)

Strawberry Syrup -8 oz strawberries, hulled and halved, about 1 1/2 cups -2/3 cup granulated sugar -1/2 cup water Bubble Tea for 1 serving -2 black or green tea bags -1 cup boiling water, plus more for making the boba -3–4 tbsp strawberry syrup -1/4 cup boba -ice -milk to taste

Combine strawberries 1/2 cup water and sugar in a pot, stir and place over medium heat.

Bring to a boil and begin to smash the strawberries with a potato masher or a fork, cook for an additional 3-4 minutes after reaching a boil then remove from heat.

Strain the strawberry syrup through a mesh sieve into a large measuring cup with a spout. Allow to cool then transfer to a jar for storage.

Steep tea bags in 1 cup boiling water for 5 minutes, remove tea bags. While the tea steeps, add the boba to a small pot and cover with water by about an inch. Bring to a boil and cook until the boba float. Then strain out the water.

Add desired amount of strawberry syrup to the tea (3-4 tbsp is what I use). Then add the boba. Fill drinking glass with ice and pour tea over the ice. If you want to add milk, add it before pouring over ice. I add 1/4 – 1/3 cup of whole milk to mine.
