HOW TO ROAST KUMQUATS

Why should I roast kumquats?

Kumquats are extremely sour raw, but their flavor completely changes after roasting them. It's a more subdued yet intense orange-like flavor. They also become sticky and chewy with a more pleasant texture than craisins or raisins and could function much like them in most dishes. Use roasted kumquats in scones, salads with chicken and more!

Simply slice kumquats into 1/4 inch pieces, toss with some olive or avocado oil and salt and roast for 25 minutes at 375F.

Stir the kumquats about halfway through the cooking time to make sure none of them get too browned.
