HOW TO MAKE BLACKBERRY SYRUP

-2 1/2 cups fresh or frozen blackberries (two 6 oz containers) -1 cup granulated sugar -1/4 cup water

Place ingredients in saucepan over medium heat. Stir occasionally. Bring to a simmer and mash the berries. Simmer for 5 minutes more. Add more cook time in 5 minute increments if you want to make a thicker syrup. 

Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a clean glass jar. Allow to cool and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
