EASY KUMQUAT JAM RECIPE

-Kumquats -Water -Sugar -Cinnamon stick (optional)

Slice kumquats and remove seeds.

Place kumquats in a sauce pan with water and a cinnamon stick. Wrap seeds in cheese cloth and set overnight or 8 hours.

Heat the mixture to a simmer and allow it to cook until it reaches 220F or it passes the gel test. This is when it gets a spreadable consistency that is characteristic of jam. 

Once gel has formed, place in sterilized jars and store in the refrigerator or process the jars for long term storage.
