CHOCOLATE DATE BARS

Pour hot water over the dates to soften them and make blending them 10x easier. It also helps you get a much smoother consistency.

Drain and add dates and peanut butter to a food processor or high-powered blender and blend until a smooth mixture forms. Add the chopped walnuts and stir.

Press the mixture into a baking pan to form an even layer. Make sure to line the pan with parchment for easy removal.

Chill the date mixture in the freezer for 1 hour. Just before it’s time to remove from the freezer, place chocolate in a microwave safe bowl and heat until melted. Microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring at each interval.

Cut the bars into desired size and arrange on baking sheet, lined with parchment. 

Use a fork to lower each bar into the chocolate and flip to fully coat in chocolate.

Once all are covered in chocolate, place the baking tray in the fridge so chocolate can set. Chill for 30 minutes. Top with sea salt and enjoy.
