Tahini Brownie Cake (GF)
Butter-less cakey brownies made with tahini. They are lighter than your typical brownies but every bit as delicious.
I felt I must call this brownie cake because well, they are pretty cake like. I love that these are made with tahini instead of butter and just a couple tablespoons of oat flour, making them gluten-free and having much healthier fat content than your typical brownie.
These tahini brownies feel a little lighter, but they still feel indulgent and taste amazing. They are simple to make, requiring just one bowl to mix up the batter! The drizzle is optional but highly recommended. It’s fun to do and of course makes the brownies just that much more indulgent.

Ingredients
- 1 cup tahini
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp oat flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Chocolate tahini drizzle
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 3 tbsp tahini
- sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Spray an 8 x 8 baking pan with non-stick spray and line with parchment.
- In a large mixing bowl, use a whisk to combine tahini, brown sugar, vanilla and eggs.
- Add cocoa powder, oat flour, baking soda and salt and continue to whisk until the batter is smooth. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread the batter evenly into prepared pan.
- Bake for 20-23 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few crumbs. Let the brownies cool for 30 minutes before adding chocolate tahini drizzle.
Chocolate tahini drizzle
- Place chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and microwave in 30 second increments until melted. Add 2 tbsp of the tahini to the chocolate and stir to combine.
- Drizzle brownies with chocolate tahini mixture and remaining tbsp of tahini. Sprinkle with sea salt.
