Pickled lettuce is a tangy, fresh, easy + cheap condiment/topping for tacos, sandwiches and more!

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1/2 head iceberg lettuce, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 small white onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 tbsp white vinegar
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/3 cup avocado oil
  • optional: a few shakes of Frank’s Red Hot hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and stir until fully mixed. 
  2. Allow the mixture to stand about 30 minutes before serving. 
  3. Enjoy within 2-3 days on tacos, burritos, fajitas, bowls or subs!
