Lavender tastes surprisingly good with chocolate. Kind of like coffee–the strong/rich taste of coffee balances out the floral taste of lavender.

Then combine lavender and milk in a small pot and cook over medium-low heat until it starts to bubble. This will take about 8 minutes.

Then strain the milk through a small mesh sieve into your mug to remove the lavender.

Then whisk the hot chocolate vigorously! I love my mini whisk for jobs like this. I also like to froth my hot chocolate but that is of course, very optional 🙂

Enjoy! This hot chocolate is so rich, aromatic and satisfying on a cool evening. And more than that–lavender has the potential health benefits of stress relief and antioxidants.
