Kale Apple Celery Juice
Immune boosting kale juice recipe made in the blender! Also with ginger and lemon for a little kick!
I love green juice but it can get a little expensive to buy pre-made, so I like to make my own. I make mine right in the blender and then strain through a fine mesh sieve. It’s quick, easy and delicious! Plus I think it goes without saying that this is a great way to get tons of vitamins and nutrients in an on-the-go format. Let’s make it!
Ingredients
Green juice with kale, apple, celery, ginger and lemon
All you need to make this tasty juice is:
- 1 large leaf of kale (Kale is abundant in my composting garden right now!)
- 1/2 a lemon
- 2 stalks of celery
- a 2 inch knob of fresh ginger
- 2-3 apples
How to make green juice in the blender
I have a juicer but if I only made juice with that, I’d hardly ever make juice. Making juice in the blender saves a lot of time and I’m all about that.
After you’ve washed and chopped the apples, celery and kale, place them in a blender. Grate the ginger into the blender and squeeze the juice from half of a lemon. Add two cups of water and blend until smooth.
Then place a mesh strainer over a large spouted bowl or liquid measuring cup. Use a spoon to gently stir the mixture and encourage the juice through the strainer. This recipe will yield about 2 to 2 1/2 cups of juice or two servings.
