Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cold
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp chai drink mix or finely ground chai tea
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F.
  2. Cut the (cold) butter into cubes and place in a large bowl. Use a pastry blender to combine the butter, brown sugar and vanilla until creamy.
  3. Add the flour, salt and chai and continue blending until a dough forms that you can press together with your hands.
  4. Use a 1 1/2 tbsp cookie scoop to measure enough dough for one cookie. Roll the dough in your hands to form a ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment. Place each dough ball about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown around the edges.
  6. After removing the cookies from the oven, allow them to cool for 15 minutes, then dust with powdered sugar using a mesh strainer. Allow cookies to cool at least an additional 15 minutes before eating.
  7. Enjoy!
